The KABTEC Management
After studying mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, I initially worked as a calculation engineer in the aerospace industry for four years. At the beginning of 2009, my field of activity shifted to mechatronic development. Since 2013, I have been working hard and enjoying myself at KABTEC, helping to build up and take responsibility for the technology department. Today, my daily work focuses on the design of new automation systems, customer communication, and my role as a board member of KABTEC AG.
As a counterbalance to my high-tech workday, I spend a lot of my free time as a hobby beekeeper tending to my bees—a hobby that my wife and three children also enjoy very much.
After completing my training at a global supplier of testing and automation systems for the semiconductor industry, I started my professional career in technical purchasing. Working closely with development, engineering, and suppliers sparked my enthusiasm for customized machine construction early on.
Later, I started my own business—I founded and ran a trading company with three locations and 15 employees for over 13 years. This period shaped my entrepreneurial mindset and my attitude: WITH people, FOR people! And in the end, what counts is what we achieve—because success has two letters: DO.
After more than a decade as an entrepreneur, I was looking for a new challenge and returned to the world that had inspired me early on: customized machine construction. I have been with KABTEC since April 2024 and have also been an authorized signatory since May 2025. Today, my focus is on structured project management and heading up the Industrial Automation department, as well as on open and continuous communication. It is important to me to always maintain an overview and stay informed about all developments—as a reliable link between customers, partners, and our team.
In my free time, I enjoy the nature of our homeland with my wife and our two sons—the mountains, the lakes, and the feeling of living where others go on vacation.
My professional career began with an apprenticeship as an electrician in Munich, which gave me a solid technical foundation.
I then spent two years working in traffic light construction, where I was able to further expand my knowledge of the installation and maintenance of signaling technology. I then moved to a cable assembly company, where I worked as a team leader for over six years. There, I was responsible for coordinating processes, quality assurance, and managing a production team.
I have been with KABTEC since 2011, where I work as a team leader in the Manufacturing Services department. In this role, I manage operational processes, optimize production workflows, and provide key support for the successful implementation of a wide range of customer projects.
In my free time, I spend a lot of time in the mountains and am generally enthusiastic about any sporting activity. I live with my wife and our two children—a daughter and a son—who provide me with an important balance to my professional life.
